RabbitWise® is comprised of rabbit-knowledgeable volunteers in consultation with professionals and organizations in animal welfare, rabbit rescue, and animal medical services related fields to educate for the improved care and welfare of the domestic rabbit.

Most, but not all, of RabbitWise®'s volunteers are rabbit guardians who have also been educators of rabbit care and behavior, volunteers, and/or members of the board of directors of other rabbit welfare and rescue organizations.

BGRR: WHO WE ARE

VOLUNTEER STATE COORDINATORS

Volunteer Sate Coordinators are usually people who are well known in their home states, regionally, and/or nationally for their rabbit rescue work. They are also familiar with their state's resources for rabbits. Many of the coordinators run their own rabbit rescue organizations.

VOLUNTEER CONDUCTORS

Volunteer conductors are usually people who have or have had their own rabbits, belong to various rabbit organizations, and/or do rescue work themselves. They become conductors by volunteering but have to be recommended by someone known in the rabbit community who can vouch for them as rabbit knowledgeable people. Animal lovers without former rabbit experience who volunteer may be trained by a recognized rabbit organization in their state.

HONORABLE MENTIONED

April Jones, State Coordinator, for her Herculean efforts researching rabbit rescue organizations for this site.

Evonne Vey, Evonne's Art, for her artwork contributions, consultations, and unwavering support.

Kerry Stewart, The Rabbit Habit, for her consultations, research efforts, and her unbelievable willingness to share.

All the gang from TNR for their suggestions and support.

Cindy (the kind soul, whoever she may be) who in 2000 pulled my beloved rabbit, Muggins (AKA Rocko), and two of his companions off that truck bound for slaughter in the York/Lancaster area of Pennsylvania. See what you have wrought? Muggins has been my teacher. If you see this, please contact RabbitWise®.
